Eventually I joined the Sit Means Sit family full time and I am now the Facility Manager of our San location. I have wanted to work with animals since I can remember and have had wonderful opportunities to do I now have 3 Pit Bulls and a Chameleon. I do very best not to add too animals to the squad but it doesn't always work. Working for Sit Means Sit has helped me realize for teaching. Coaching clients and encouraging better relationships between them and their dogs is the most fulfilling part of job. It's incredibly rewarding to facilitate and the change people's lives with their pets. Misia Bielicki is a dog trainer who originally began her professional career Accounting. After living la vida cubicle for 3 years, she found herself unfulfilled and began searching for a new career path. While working at APA! Misia relished working with the dogs who needed the most help. Whether a dog was fearful and shut down or hyperactive and losing their minds from boredom, she wanted to know what made them tick. She knew that she had the power to help these dogs prepare for life a loving home. After a series of fosters with behavioral and medical issues, she decided to adopt a few boys of her own. Rocky, a pit-bull mix with fear and anxiety issues, was the shelter for almost a year with nobody to guide him. Boston, a chihuahua with a big personality, had behavioral issues as a result of having no structure his life. After helping several dogs, including her own, overcome one obstacle after another Misia decided she wanted to help families on the other side of the adoption process: keeping them happy, loving homes. She found Sit Means Sit and loved everything the organization stood for. Though she had years of hands-on experience with more than 300 dogs a stressful shelter environment, she lacked formal training. Sit Means Sit welcomed her with open arms and gave her all the tools and resources necessary to become the best dog trainer she could be. Misia now trains dogs enrolled the Immersion Board and Train program and loves working with all types of dogs and people. Her favorite aspect of the Sit Means Sit program is how it allows owners to communicate effectively with their furry companions. Whether a dog is hyper, unmotivated, fearful or aggressive, Misia welcomes any opportunity to help clients strengthen their relationships and live with their beloved pets.
