Other people gunnison and white furred merced 10491 clock hands he can cross the street, ignore us and run down the street. This has totally changed our enjoyment of our dog. We only had to use the training buttons a few times, very infrequently, and he caught on immediately. He is out and about with us much more, stays close, he's learning new things and we're fine tuning some commands. The instructions are very good about testing your dog's threshold, and how to incorporate it into training. The buzz feature is a great reminder prompt when he needs to be doing something different. This has also allowed me to take our dog on trail rides with horse. I can control him from horse back while riding next to a road on our way to the trails. It comes with a lanyard, which makes it super easy to grab the controller and buzz, if needed, while I'm riding. This did cost a little more than I wanted to spend, but after reviewing cheaper models I knew I would end up getting this one anyways. I would rather have a quality product that is convenient, works and lasts. on It has only been a week with this collar and I have seen amazing improvement dog's behavior!! I never train without one from now on. on The staff at Leerburg helped me choosing appropriate e-collar. This is first time using ecollar, and I was a little skeptical of how it would turn out and how quickly I would results from dog. 70 lb hound mix has already been through a basic obedience course and generally listens well. He is very good on the leash and consistently listens to basic commands. However, I have had a really hard time teaching recall to any dog that I've ever owned. I started working with Lipton indoors with the ecollar and a 6 foot leash on. Then I moved outdoors with the leash still on--working him on commands he already knows and responds to. After about 2 weeks, I put him on a 15 foot lead and worked him outdoors without holding the lead. Its amazing how well he does. He responds perfectly almost every time. If he is extremely interested a smell and doesn't seem to be listening, I just turn the stimulation up 3 levels and he immediately looks way then responds to command when I tap him on a higher stimulation level. This device has 100 levels, I usually use it around level 10, one time I had to go up to level 18 when he was very distracted by a smell. When we're working indoors with very few distractions, I can use it on level 3. on I have to write a second review after I use the collar for 4 months now. As stated first review, I 't have to push a button often. The dog is well aware of the collar and he is more obedient than with any other collar The walks are more relaxed, and if I this right, then he seem to like this collar more than the ones with a leash, because he basically has more freedom with the e-collar. Most amazing to me, about this collar is that now, after 4 month, it is the first time that I had to charge the batteries for this collar!!! I use it for one hour every day, but as said before I 't have to push a button anymore, because the dog listens, when he is wearing the collar. After getting used to this collar I would give it a rating of 6 out of 5 on I use this collar on GSD for emergency only And I have to say it works great. No question that this small collar can handle a large dog. I like the illuminated digital display, and how it fits hand. Since I do not have to push the button very often, I am amazed that it holds the charge for over two weeks now, and I use it at least 1 hour a day. on I totally agree with everything the first two reviewers have said about this product I won't repeat their comments. We purchased the 2-dog model because we were teaching our dogs to play safety together the yard. I often use it for Recall to interrupt play enough to lower arousal level, asking the dogs to come to me for treats. It works beautifully and is much safer than having to grab collars the middle of active play. We have dogs with very different temperaments we especially like the flexibility of setting the stim levels from very low
